Project Talk for Final Year BCA Students

On April 27, 2023, a guest talk on valid professional certification program was organized by the college. Mr. Santosh, a soft skill developer from Lets Pro Academy, Mysore, was the speaker.

Awareness on Lok Sabha Elections 2023

On May 8, 2023, the Department of Humanities conducted a session to educate students about the importance of voting and the voting process for the Lok Sabha Elections 2023.

Library Orientation

An orientation program was held on May 13, 2023, by the Department of Library. Dr. Hyder Ali, the librarian from Teresian College, Mysore, provided insights on various reference sources and newly published journals

Adventure Activity

On May 17, 2023, a one-day trekking event to Kuntibetta, Pandavapura, Mandya, was organized in collaboration with IAMAS, Royal Trekkers, Mysore, providing students with a rejuvenating experience.

Visit to Old Age Home

On May 26, 2023, students participated in a YRC activity by visiting the “Little Sisters of the Poor” old age home, where they gained insight into survivorship and donated essentials to the residents.

Eng-Lestia

On June 6, 2023, the college organised a literary fest and dedicated a day to celebrate the renowned poet and playwright  William Shakespeare. Prof. B. N Balaji  delivered speeches, Shakespearean artifacts were exhibited and a performance of Romeo and Juliet was staged.

Sports Meet

The Department of Physical Education organized a sports day on June 17, 2023, which saw enthusiastic participation from students in various sports events and performances.

International Yoga Day

On June 21, 2023, the college observed International Yoga Day by offering students awareness sessions and demonstrations of yoga asanas.

Fun Week

From July 3 to July 8, 2023, the college campus was filled with vibrant attires and cultural themes as students participated in various competitions during the Fun Week organized by the cultural committee.

Graduation Day

On July 20, 2023, the college celebrated its 5th Graduation Day ceremony, conferring degrees upon around 100 students from various streams. Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary, MDES and Prof. Dasan, Formerly chairperson , Department of English, University of Mysore presided over the ceremony.

Independence Day Celebration

The college celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2023, with great zeal and patriotism. Rev Fr. Thomas Chinnapa, Catholic Diocese of Victoria, Canada, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

International Day of Democracy

On September 15, 2023, the college commemorated the International Day of Democracy, providing an opportunity for students to review the state of democracy globally.

Hindi Divas

On September 29, 2023, the campus celebrated Hindi Divas, appreciating the importance of the Hindi language. Mr. Bashir Ahmed, Joint Director of Public Institution Services, was the chief guest.

Gandhi Jayanthi

The college organized and celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2, 2023, commemorating the birth of Mahatma Gandhi.

 

Yuva Sambhrama Dance Competition

On October 8, 2023, as part of Naada Habba-Dasara, Mysuru, students participated in a dance competition themed “Nature.”

Career Guidance

On October 6, 2023, Mr. Harish, Founder of Athaya Education, conducted a career counseling session for final year students, providing them with skills and platforms for exploring job opportunities.

Kannada Rajyotsava

The state festival of Karnataka, Kannada Rajyotsava, was celebrated on November 1, 2023, by the Department of Kannada.

Investiture Ceremony

On November 6, 2023, an investiture ceremony was held to motivate newly elected council members. Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary, MDES, was the chief guest.

Fresher's Day

On November 7, 2023, the college organized Fresher’s Day, welcoming new students with excitement, music, and various festivities.

Orientation on YRC Unit

On December 5, 2023, an orientation program was conducted for YRC volunteers by Dr. Diwakar, the nodal officer, providing insights into the history and duties of Red Cross.

Tally Course

In November 2023, Royal Welt Technologies Pvt Ltd conducted a certification course on Tally for final year students, enhancing their academic excellence.

NSS Activity

On February 28, a rally for city clean drive was organized, with NSS volunteers actively participating and showcasing their help to society.

Students Achievement

On February 28, 2024, the college hosted a skill quiz assessment award ceremony, where students were awarded various cash prizes and accolades.

Fun Week 2024

From March 18 to March 23, 2024, the cultural committee organized a week-long series of fun-filled activities for students, fostering a joyful atmosphere on campus.

Women's Day 2024

On March 11, 2024, the college celebrated Women’s Day with the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” emphasizing gender equality and women’s empowerment.

 

Staff Trip

Teaching and non-teaching staff enjoyed a trip to Coorg on March 2, 2024, providing them with a refreshing break from their busy work life.
