Examinations

University Examination

The University of Mysore conducts exams at the end of each semester. The exam schedule and timetable will be intimated to students duly as per the university notifications. Students are advised to submit the filled-in application forms at the college office in time. It is the responsibility of the students to check for all details in the application form including supplementary papers if any.

Students are expected to be well aware of the code of conduct during exam time and in the exam hall. Violations will be seriously viewed and appropriation disciplinary and legal actions will be initiated.

Internal Examination

  1. The method of evaluation includes tests, assignments, seminars, problem solving, viva voce, classroom exercise.
  2. Each semester will have written tests and assignments.
  3. There will be no provision for additional tests on the grounds of absence or poor performance.
  4. The tests and assignments are mandatory.

Reports

  1. Parents/Guardian are intimated about the attendance of their wards through an SMS/Call to the phone number given at the time of admission in the application.
  2. Parents are advised to meet the Principal from time to time and ascertain the progress of their children.
  3. Any change in the phone number should be brought to the notice of the college promptly.
Internal  assessment 
 
Internal assessment is conducted with the purpose of testing high order skills like analysis, critical thinking, conceptual clarity and support students inside and outside the classroom.
*There shall be University examinations at the end of every semester.
* Maximum marks for each subject is 60 marks for DSC,DSE,Vocational ,SEC and OEC.
*Internal assessment 40 marks for DSC,DSE,Vocational ,SEC and OEC.
*Continuous &Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)–will carry a maximum of 20% of weightage(20 marks) of total marks of a course. The parameters of assessment can be any of the following-
 
  • Individual assessments
  • Seminars/classroom presentations/quizzes
  • Group discussions
  • Case studies
  • Industrial visits
  • Practical activities/problem solving exercises
*Internal Assessment Tests (IAT)-will carry maximum 20% weightage (20 marks)of total marks of a course. Two tests will be conducted in a semester for 30 marks each and the same is to be scaled down to 10 marks.
